I'm excited to share one of my favorite beach photographs that I've ever captured. Everything about this image, to me, is perfect.
What's interesting about this beach location is that it offers a "choose your own adventure" experience. The driftwood you see in the foreground was placed there from the offshore stacks. It was fascinating to see people's reactions to each other's choice of driftwood branch and how they moved around to photograph them. It provided some insight into the minds of those on the trip.
When I saw this particular driftwood branch, I thought, "Yes, this is the one." Like many photographers before me, I carried it across the beach, gently placed it at the water's edge, and immediately knew I had chosen wisely.
I am thrilled with how this beach photograph turned out—from the reflections and moody sky to the choice of driftwood branch. For me, this is perfection. I'm absolutely delighted! But please, when you're finished, put the branches back where you found them. They don't belong there, and the park wardens have to remove them if they find any, which can lead to more restrictions.
